Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idol In Tamil Nadu Is Made With 7,000 Bananas Flowers

The auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi has kick-started on 13th September and the entire nation is busy with devoting their time in praying Lord Ganesha who arrives for 10 days spreading joy and oneness. Along with the commoners, our Bollywood stars are also big devotees of Lord Ganesha and some of them welcome Bappa every year in the house.

Well, talking about some of the talked about Ganesha idols across the nation, we have one eco-friendly Ganesha idol which you must have never seen till date.

A large Lord Ganesha idol is been created with a whopping 7,000 banana flowers in Chennai. The idol is of 10-feet and it took 10 days to construct the idol.

ANI tweeted the pictures of the same on their Twitter handle and wrote, “Chennai: A statue of Lord Ganesha has been made using around 7000 banana flowers in Kolathur for #GaneshChaturthi celebrations. #TamilNadu”

This idol was extremely unique and lakhs of people gathered to see this huge idol of Lord Ganesha.

Ganesh Chaturthi is a popular festival in Maharashtra and has a greater significance. Many Ganesha idols have been created using clay and other degradable materials.

Sathya Sai trust of Bangalore had created the Ganesha idol using sugarcane and after the pooja, the sugarcane which is used to make the idol will be distributed in the public.
