Back in 2014, photographer Lora Scantling, hailing from Oklahoma, happened to photograph three little girls aged three, four and six, fighting cancer.
Can you imagine, three innocent girls who do not even know the definition of life suddenly end up fighting for it? However, the silver lining is that three years later the same girls reunited for yet another photoshoot as survivors. The icing on the cake is that the difference is evident between the before and after shots. They look fitter and healthier than ever!
Scantling feels strongly for cancer patients as she lost her father to lung cancer. It was then that she decided to do something about it. Interestingly, her subjects – 3-year-old Rylie, 4-year-old Ainsley and 6-year-old Rheann, did not know each other until the photoshoot, yet they bonded like long-lost friends. The 2014 portrait which showed the trio hugging each other managed to take the internet by a storm.
Cut to 2017, where all the three girls are now cancer free. They decided to reunite and get clicked. Check out these pictures right here:
